Barack Obama Makes Around $400,000 Giving Speeches Around The Country
Why Would He Need His Presidential Pension If he’s Already Making Millions A Year?
A Senate committee has approved a bill that will roll back presidential pensions. If you remember a few years back, then President Barack Obama vetoed a similar bill. Why would he do that if he promised “Hope & Change?” I thought Obama was going to cut the debt in half, and not add a single dime to it during his presidency? Well, that was a lie like most everything else that came from his mouth. Now, President Trump is expected to sign legislation that will cut how much Presidents get paid after they leave office.
Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst, the sponsor of the Senate legislation, said in a statement:
“Our national debt now exceeds $20 trillion; this bipartisan effort is another important step toward reigning in Washington’s out-of-control spending,”
America agrees with you Joni, and we have your back. There is no reason we should keep paying for past Presidents to live when they’re perfectly capable of making money on their own.
Ernst went on to say:
“It is ridiculous to continue asking taxpayers to help foot the bill for former presidents’ perks at a time when they already rake in millions of dollars from book deals, speaking engagements, and more.”
I think the majority of Americans have been saying just that. They look at people like the Clintons who have raked in MILLIONS of dollars for speaking engagements, and book deals. However, President Trump made more money on “The Art Of The Deal” than Hillary Clinton will ever make from “What Happened”. Let me say this, Hillary… WE THE PEOPLE are what happened!
Daily Caller Reported:
The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs unanimously approved the language of the bill, and it awaits a vote by the full Senate chamber. The House is set to consider a companion bill, proposed by Georgia Republican Rep. Jody Hice.
Former presidents receive a salary set at the highest level of federal pay that cabinet-level officials make during their service, currently about $207,000 annually. Ernst’s proposal would cap stipends at $200,000 per year, adjusted each year for cost of living increases.
The bill clearly states that it would not change the security a former president is entitled to.
In the 2017 fiscal year, the five living former presidents cost taxpayers $2.8 billion for salary, security, staff and other perks of office, according to a Congressional Research Service report.
Another provision of the bill would push former presidents who find an additional stream of income slowly off the taxpayer’s support. For every dollar a former president makes above $400,000 from speaking engagements or other post-presidential work, the annuity would be reduced by $1 in the Senate proposal. Obama made around $400,000 in one speech to a Wall Street private equity firm earlier this year, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
A similar proposal passed the House and Senate in the last congressional session, but Obama vetoed similar legislation in 2016. Former White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that the bill would remove staffers from their jobs assisting former presidents instantly, “leaving no time or mechanism for them to transition to another payroll.”
It’s about time Republicans are getting their head out of their asses and making some progress. The Anti-Trump agenda has to go. We need to keep making America Great Again, and by that, it’s repealing Obamacare, and making sure taxes are low, and the government is limited. We the people elected President Trump, I pray for their sake the GOP pushes his agenda through.
TRUMP REPORTEDLY Thinking About Replacing Jeff Sessions With Candidate Who Won’t Cower To Pressure From The SwampBy Manly Man — 2 months ago
Throwing tweet punches toward Jeff Sessions is starting to become a regular thing for President Trump, and the face to face standoffs between the two shows no signs of diminishing anytime soon.
Trump, who remains disappointed with Sessions according to his tweets, seems to be getting frustrated with the fact that he can not rescue himself from the Russia investigation, but instead wants to continue focusing on running the Justice Department.
It doesn’t look like it will be long until Trump finds his gold star replacement.
According to 100percentfedup:
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch better start lawyering up…
President Donald Trump is reportedly thinking about bringing former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on as his Attorney General, White House sources told Axios on Monday.
Axios’ Mike Allen wrote that Trump “has recently pondered the idea of nominating Giuliani” for the job currently held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The news came soon after Trump’s latest broadside at the “beleaguered” head of his Justice Department.
“So why aren’t the Committees and investigators, and of course our beleaguered A.G., looking into Crooked Hillary’s crimes & Russia relations?” Trump tweeted on Monday morning.
Trump’s views on his attorney general have soured in the months since Sessions decided it was best to recuse himself from any investigations involving the Trump campaign, which he was closely associated with. That includes all of the Russia-related investigations, which special counsel Robert Mueller is overseeing.
In an interview last week with The New York Times, Trump said he wouldn’t have hired Sessions if he knew he’d recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
“So Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself,” Trump said. “I then have — which, frankly, I think is very unfair to the president. How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would have recused himself from the job, I would have said, ‘Thanks, Jeff, but I can’t, you know, I’m not going to take you.’ It’s extremely unfair, and that’s a mild word, to the president. So he recuses himself. I then end up with a second man, who’s a deputy.”
When Trump was first selecting his top cabinet officials after winning the November election, Giuliani insisted on being named the secretary of state. He reportedly was not interested in other top posts, including the attorney general.

Here are the players who protested in Week 1 according to ESPN who compiled the scandalous list.
Seattle Seahawks: Defensive lineman Michael Bennett sat during the national anthem before their game against the Green Bay Packers.
Justin Britt stood next to him with a hand on Bennett’s shoulder in a show of support. Running back Thomas Rawls was on the other side doing the same. Defensive end Cliff Avril sat with Bennett for the tail end of the anthem apparently unsure what the hell to do.
Green Bay Packers: Tight end Martellus Bennett stood but did so with his right fist in the air during the anthem.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix did the opposite of the disgraceful NFL players and helped hold the giant American flag at midfield before the game. Good work Ha Ha.
Bennett said before the game, “I like to speak through my art, my words and things like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if I draw another political cartoon or some s—, but other than that, I don’t know right now. I’m more of a spur-of-the-moment-type guy, type of thing.”
Los Angeles Rams linebacker Robert Quinn raised his right fist in the air during the anthem joining Bennett in what may become their new protest?
San Francisco 49ers Safety Eric Reid took a knee like Kaepernick for the national anthem. Ten teammates circled Reid with a hand on his shoulder as he knelt.
Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch sat for the anthem like the malcontent he is.
Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins raised a fist while defensive end Chris Long and safety Rodney McLeod put their hands on his back for “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The Cleveland Browns didn’t protest, instead they joined police officers, firefighters, EMTs and the military as they ran onto the field.
Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters sat on an equipment table for most of the national anthem.
